Worth $3.5 A Bridge constructed in E. Afghanistan

KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Public Works announced today the opening of a fortification bridge in Kunar.

The ministry said in a statement to BNA, the Ministry of Public Works had inaugurated bridge in Kunar’s Panj Dara Valley at the cost of $3.5 million.

In a ceremony held in the occasion of the bridge inauguration, Mufti Amir Abdullah, chief administration office of Ministry said: “Jihad and the rightful struggle of the people of Kunar have played an important and key role in the victory of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.” Is to work for them in the current situation and solve their transportation problems.

“The Ministry of Public Works intends to implement large and public benefit projects in the coming years in order to solve the problems of the people, considering the financial possibilities.” He added

Meanwhile, Mawlawi Hamidullah Mesbah, spokesman of Ministry, assured the residents of Kunar that the ministry has fully committed to implementing other projects to solve the transportation problems of the people.

He provides details about the bridge and said: “This bridge is 33 meters long and 6 meters wide, which has been installed in the mentioned area at a cost of 3.5 million dollars by the Ministry of Public Works.”

During the ceremony, tribal elders and clerics also spoke, thanked the Ministry of Public Works for installing a bridge to connect several villages, and called for more attention from the ministry’s leadership in implementing public benefit projects.

The bridge connects the villages of Gram, Kandahari, Lichram and Vardesh to the Kunar-Nuristan public highway, and people can easily get access to schools, colleges, towns and hospitals from this bridge.

It’s mentionable that the Ministry of Public Works last Thursday put into exploitation a 102-meter-long and 6-meter-wide bridge in Sheltan Kunar district, which solved the problems of about 19,000 families.
