Years-long Conflict Ends between two Ethnic Group in North

SAR-E-PUL (BNA): Governor of Sar-e-Pul Mohammad Yaqoob Abdul Rahman Aka traveled to Faryab on Monday to mediate the years-long disputes between two ethnic group of northern provinces.

According to reports: Years-long a person was killed and several livestock lost in clashes over farmlands and pasture between the border residents of Chelcheh village in Kohistanat district of Sar-e-Pul and Gholbian village of Garziwan district of Faryab district.

In a meeting chaired by Mohammad Yaqoob Abdul Rahman Aka, the governor of Sar-e-Pul, with Mawlavi Abdul Wali Atqani, the deputy governor of Faryab, and a number of officials from the relevant organizations the despute discussed the dispute took to discussion between the residents of Chelcheh village, and both ethnic group ended their disputes by the mediation of Islamic Emirate officials.

Meanwhile, a committee organized, and decision made that from now every ethnic group should solve their disputes through the committee legally.

The committee also warned that if anyone who unjustly causes concern to villagers or oppresses each other will be dealt in accordance with the law.

The meeting ended with a prayer of sincerity and peace made between the two ethnic groups of northern provinces.
