Years-long Ethnic Dispute ends with Mediation of Local Officials in Ghor

GHOR (BNA) A dispute between two ethnic groups that continued for years has finally been put to an end with the mediation of local officials in Ghor province.

Ghor governor’s house in a statement received by Bakhtar News Agency said that the ethnic conflict and ethnic differences that existed between Taimani (Qashqah) and Mehri tribes for years, ended with the efforts of Mullah Ahmad Shah Din Dost, governor of Ghor.

Din Dost during a meeting on the occasion, appreciated the two tribes for ending their hostilities and embracing peace and brotherhood, saying that all the people should follow the way of tolerance and harmony.

Representatives from Mehri and Taymani (Qashqah) tribes expressed their regret over their dispute and said that they would no longer engage in hostilities.
