LASHKARGAH CITY (BNA) As many as nine armed oppositions were killed and injured during clashes with Afghan security forces in southern Helmand province the night before last.
Ministry of national defense in a statement reported that the conflicts took place while a group of Taliban fighters storm on Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in Garashk district of Helmand province.
Five insurgents including their commander named Mawlawi Mahmoud were killed and four others were injured following the clashes, statement added.
Meanwhile, Afghan national army troops succeeded to discover and neutralize seven round of different type of mines in crowded areas of Helmand province.
