Taliban Mine Blast Destroyed Bridge, and Part of Kabul-Kandahar Highway

Friday, July 2, 2021
Kabul (BNA) Armed Taliban detonated a mine and destroyed a bridge and part of the Kabul-Kandahar highway.
The destruction of this part of the road has slowed down the traffic process.
According to reports, last night, the attackers planted mine on road near the Maidan-Shaher on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, thus destroying it and slowing down the traffic.
The Ministry of Public Works says efforts have begun to repair the road and the highway.
However, drivers say the demolition of part of the road near the city square has hampered traffic.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
The Kabul-Kandahar highway is one of the largest roads in Afghanistan.
This highway is witness to the movement of thousands of passengers and hundreds of commercial caravans from time to time.
