Fifty Taliban Insurgents Killed in Recent Clashes in Badghis

Qala-e-Naw (BNA) Fifty Taliban insurgents have been killed and dozens more wounded in recent clashes in Badghis.

The clashes took place last night until this morning, following a Taliban attack on checkpoints and military convoys in Qadis and Bala Murghab districts.

A senior Zafar Corps official in the west told BNA that 50 Taliban insurgents were killed and dozens more were wounded in the clashes.

He said the Taliban were targeted from the ground and air when they attacked checkpoints and convoys carrying troops.

Six Taliban commanders were reportedly killed in the clashes.

The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
