Mehtarlam (BNA) The first stadium was opened in Mehtarlam city, the center of Laghman.
The stadium is indoor and can host training and competitions in martial arts and volleyball, futsal and basketball in the eastern provinces.
The stadium was built by India at a cost of 38 million Afghanis.
Badam Gul Majtzam, Laghman Sports Dept. head, told BNA that with the construction and operation of this stadium, most sports will grow in this eastern province.
He said that there was no stadium for training and competitions of sports in Laghman.
Laghman Governor Rahmatullah Yarmal said at the opening ceremony that he is trying to increase sports among Laghman youth by building sports facilities.
