Kabul (BNA) Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar received the Diplomatic Representative of Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), Sheherazade Hirji the other day, a MoFA statement said yesterday.
The Two sides discussed development projects and AKDN’s activities in Afghanistan. The Foreign Minister praised AKDN for providing support in various areas ranging from rural development projects to restoration of historical places in Afghanistan, according to the statement.
Minister Atmar assured Hijri that the government was fully supportive and looked forward to the expansion of AKDN projects in Afghanistan.
Ambassador Hijri briefed Foreign Minister on AKDN’s projects and the possibility of addressing the energy deficit in Afghanistan. She assured Minister Atmar of AKDN’s continued commitment to the people of Afghanistan.
