Foreign Minister Meet with Ambassadors of 14 Countries

Kabul (BNA) Mawlavi Amir Khan Motaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and his accompanying delegation met the other day with the ambassadors and special representatives of 14 countries, mainly European countries, in Doha.
At the beginning, the Afghan Foreign Minister spoke about the new Islamic government, security, relations with the international community, the economic situation, the sanctions imposed on Afghanistan and the eradication of corruption.
Motaqi called on the international community to work with the United States to lift the embargo on Afghan national assets, as Afghanistan has a sovereign regime after 40 years.
He added, the new government of Afghanistan, as a responsible government, has fulfilled all the conditions for recognition.
Representatives of the countries, in turn, expressed their views and expressed confidence and satisfaction with the statements and explanations of the Afghan delegation.
Recently, both sides stressed the continuity of such meetings.
