Lashkargah (BNA) Forty-nine Taliban have been killed in military operations in Helmand yesterday.
Spokesman for 215th Maiwand Corps told BNA that the Taliban were killed in an airstrike by security and defense forces in outskirts of Lashkargah the provincial capital.
Two key Taliban insurgents were also killed in the operation.
The source added that 40 other armed Taliban were wounded during the operation.
According to the source, the military operations are underway to destroy the armed Taliban in various areas of Lashkargah.
