Kabul (BNA) Forty-six militants were killed last night in a pre-emptive strike by security forces in four districts of Kandahar.
Fawad Aman, Deputy Spokesman of National Defense Ministry told BNA, Taliban planned to attack Defense and Security Forces checkpoints in Arghandab, Panjwai, Maiwand and Zhiri districts of Kandahar province, in a pre-emptive strike of security forces, 46 Taliban were killed and 13 wounded, a hideout, 2 vehicles, 2 motorcycles and a large amount of weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
Also, security forces discovered and defused 17 landmines in Maiwand district of the province.
