Kabul (BNA) Ghulam Mohammad Ishaqzai has been appointed as Afghanistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations, replacing Adela Raz, whose term has ended at the United Nations.
Adela Raz is said to have been appointed Afghanistan’s ambassador to Washington.
Ishaqzai also worked as a representative of UN development programs in Azerbaijan.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Gran Hywad has said he will soon begin his work as Afghanistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations.
