Green Project of Band Amir National Park Inaugurated in Bamyan

Bamyan (BNA) The green project of Band Amir national park was inaugurated yesterday with the presence of officials from the center and Bamyan.

According to BNA report, Mohammad Aman Amanyar, director general of forests at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, told the media that the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has approved the $ 30.5 million green belt project at the Band Amir National Park on 18,000 hectares of barren land. It will become exploitable and cultivable.

He added that in 7,000 hectares of land, ornamental seedlings will be planted other early forests will be planted for the production of industrial wood and in 4 hectares of land, fodder and plants will be planted to protect water and soil in the area.

Bamyan Governor Seyed Anwar Rahmati said the project is the second green belt project in the country.

He added that the Bamyan local government is working hard to implement this important and vital project and called on the local people to properly support these projects.
