Heart (BNA) The security forces reported that heavy casualties inflected to the armed Taliban in Herat.
In recent days, parts of Ghorian, Shindand and Pashtun Zarghun have witnessed heavy battles.
A senior official of Zafar Army Corps in the west of the country told BNA that thirty-eight armed Taliban, including six senior commanders of the group, were killed and dozens of other Taliban were wounded in the fighting.
Most of the fighting reportedly took place following security forces air strikes on Taliban strongholds.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
