HEC Stresses On Creating Mechanism To Monitor Lands Granted To Industrialists

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, a session of High Economic Council (HEC) was held at Chahar Chenar palace yesterday.
In the session, report suggestions and operation plan for clearing the dealings and submission of Ghori Cement Factory and Kar Kar and Doodkash coal mines, tinder process of gold and copper mines of Zarkashan of Ghazni, suggestions for implementation of fertilizer and electricity enterprise, reconstruction project of Sheberghan gas areas and draft for distribution and specification of lands’ price in industrial parks were discussed. Related to operation and implementing plan for clearing the dealings of Ghori Cement Factory and Kar Kar and Doodkash coals mines, acting minister of mines and petroleum said that the contracting company had to reconstruct the first and second factories of cement as well as establish a third factory, but failed to do so; therefore, all dealings with the company should be reviewed in coming months. In the session, the country’s President said that the contracting company has violated the law and instructed that an intra-ministerial committee led by ministry of mines and petroleum should be created to clear all dealings with the respective company. Related to tinder process of gold and copper mines of Zarkashan in Ghazni instructed that a joint committee from ministries of finance, economy and mines should talk to the contracting company in connection with working condition and incase that the company showed no preparations for execution of work on the respective mines, the contract should be announced again.
