Jalalabad (BNA) A hospital was built in Jalalabad, the center of Nangarhar.
With its surgical, internal medicine and obstetric wards, the hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment and currently employs dozens of staff to provide health services.
Habiba Kakar, deputy governor of Nangarhar, said at the opening ceremony that the construction of the hospital would improve the provision of health services to citizens.
Dr. Nasir Ahmad Durrani, head of Nangarhar Public Health, says at least eight treatment centers will be built in parts of Nangarhar in the coming year.
He says the construction of these clinics will reduce the need of the citizens of Nangarhar for medical centers in the capital and abroad.
