Hospital Built in One of Most Remote Parts of Nangarhar

Jalalabad (BNA) A hospital in Lalpour district opened in one of the most remote parts of Nangarhar.

The hospital has 30 beds, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics and obstetrics wards and can treat dozens of patients at a time.

The construction of this hospital cost the government one million and four hundred thousand Afghanis.

Dr. Nasir Ahmad Durrani, director of Nangarhar Public Health, told BNA that with the construction of this hospital, villagers no longer need to go to Jalalabad or even the capital to treat their patients.

He said the hospital is equipped with the necessary medical equipment and medical staff have been deployed to promote its health services.
