Qalat (BNA) By building a canal water hundreds acres of farmers’ fields was supplied in Zabul.
This canal brings spring water from the foothills to hundreds of acres of fields in Nasran village of Qalat city in central Zabul.
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development spent two million Afghanis to build the canal.
The construction of this canal also prevents the waste of agricultural water.
An official from Zabul Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department told BNA that the construction of the canal provided water to nearly 400 acres of farmers’ fields.
The peasants welcomed the construction of this canal and called it a boom in their cultivation.
