International Seminar on Amir Ali Shir Nawayee Held in Herat

Kabul (BNA)  The International Seminar on the Re-reading the thoughts of Amir Ali Shir Nawayee was held on Wednesday at the Rumi Hall of the country’s western province of Herat, Bakhtar News
Agency reported.

At the beginning of the seminar, which was attended by a number of cabinet members, parliamentarians, high-ranking government officials, special representative of the president of Uzbekistan
for Afghanistan, Uzbek Ambassador to Kabul, scientists, researchers, Mohammad Shaker Kargar, Head of the High Office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, welcomed the par- ticipants and guests and spoke about the importance of the seminar and the re-reading of Amir Ali Shir Nawayee’s ideas.
Then, a video message from the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf
Ghani, was also released to the audiences. The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for
Afghanistan also thanked the Government of Afghanistan for hosting the seminar, according to the agency. Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Mohammad Tahir Zuhair also spoke about various dimensions of Amir Ali Shir Nawayee’s personality and called him a gnostic, poet, and talented manager, musician and influential figure of the Timurid era, the agency quoted. “Amir Ali Shir Nawayee paid serious attention to reconstruct and develop affairs and was able to build 360 public uplift projects, which included a mosque, a school, a pond, an abbey, etc.,” Mohammad Tahir Zuhair said and he also asked the friendly country of
Uzbekistan to cooperate in establishing a museum of the Timurid era as well as the Amir Ali Shir Nawayee Library, in Kabul.
