Farah (BNA) Farah Governor Taj Mohammad Jahed inaugurated the construction of Sarband irrigation canal in Kokshib village, central Farah.
The head of Farah Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department told BNA local correspondent, with the completion of this canal, more than seven hundred hectares of agricultural land will be covered with irrigation and this project includes a canopy, retaining wall and gate for the canal from the budget of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, in cooperation with the development council, will be completed in fourteen months.
In a ceremony held on this occasion, the governor of Farah thanked the relevant institutions said, Farah farmers are in dire need of such public benefit projects and this irrigation canal will partially solve the problem of farmers’ agricultural water.
