Irrigation Canal Construction Work Completed in Takhar

Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock announced the completion work of Mohammad Hussein Irrigation Canal in Takhar.

According to the ministry’s statement to BNA that the canal, which is 1,100 meters long, was built through the Amu Sea Sector project of the Ministry of Agriculture.

This canal is located in Taluqan, the center of Takhar, and originates from the public canal Nahr Chaman.

Mohammad Hossein Irrigation Canal is one of the second level canals that covers a total of 20 acres of agricultural land.

The canal was built at a cost of 450,000 Afghanis with funding from the Asian Development Bank and the European Union, 180 families benefit from this canal.
