Jalalabad (BNA) Two members of the ISIS group have been arrested for allegedly carrying out targeted assassinations in Nangarhar.
They were arrested last night in Behsud district, which was attacked by national security forces.
During the raid, two other insurgents were arrested in connection with collaborating with ISIS.
Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar, told BNA that the detainees confessed to several targeted assassinations in Nangarhar during the first investigation.
This is while targeted assassinations have increased in Nangarhar as in other parts of the country.
The assassination of female journalists and vaccinators is part of a series of terrorist attacks in Nangarhar over the past few months.
Citizens accuse the government of failing to contain these crimes.
