Kabul (BNA) Japan says $ 190 million will help to prevent a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
The money is to be spent on helping the needy families in Afghanistan through global aid agencies.
In a televised speech to a summit of the world’s 20 industrialized nations, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kashida said his country would provide $ 190 million to help prevent the spread of poverty and the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Kashida said Japan continues to provide assistance to the Afghan people.
The European Union (EU) has pledged € 1 billion in aid to Afghan citizens at a summit of 20 industrialized nations, according to BNA.
The money will be used by international aid agencies to arrest poor families in the wake of the Afghan refugee crisis in neighboring countries.
