Leader of Pakistani Taliban Insurgent Killed in Faryab Airstrike

Maimana (BNA) A Pakistani Taliban insurgent leader was killed in an airstrike in Faryab with six of his colleagues yesterday.

Fawad Aman, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, told BNA that the air force targeted a Taliban rally in the Sabz village, Pashtun Kot district of Faryab province, killing a Pakistani insurgent leader named Khyber Akke, known as Pakistani, with six members. Their other bodies were wounded.

Aman said Pakistani Khyber had recently arrived from Pakistan to carry out terrorist attacks in Faryab province.
