Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi Meets Deborah Lyons Head of UNAMA

Kabul (BNA) Mawlawi Amir khan Muttaqi, Minister of foreign affairs of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met Deborah Lyons head of United Nations Association Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA)

According to BNA, the ministry of foreign affairs states in a newsletter that during the meeting discussion made, on Political, Human Rights, banking sector, creating jobs, and development and the acting foreign minister said “that Afghanistan is an importing country and restriction should be lifted on its import, adding that electricity loans from past government need to be paid in order to starts remaining development projects.

Deborah Lyons said “United Nations Association Missions in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has asked international community for $8 billion to restart infrastructure projects and to pave the way for more needed humanitarian aids adding discussion has been with the international bank and Asian central development bank for helping the banking sector of Afghanistan.

Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi thanked UNAMA Cooperation and said that efforts of the organization have been effective toward reconstruction of the economy of our country.
