Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Mohammad Tahir Zuhair chaired the first meeting of the National Commission for the Celebration of Nowruz, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported yesterday.
The Acting Minister as quoted by the agency stated that the commission meeting with the representatives from a number of ministries and related institutions, has been held to organize the ancient 1400 Nowruz festival appropriately and better than ever.
“In honor of the 1400 Nowruz arrival or the first Nowruz of the century, the Ministry of Information and Culture has plan to celebrate the festival, under the title ‘Solidarity and Patriotic Love’ across the country,” said the agency.
At the meeting, Abdul Manan Sheway Sharq, Deputy Publication Minister of Information and Culture, briefed the participants on the programs and objectives of the Nowruz celebrations, saying that the national Nowruz celebrations would also be held in the provinces, the agency quoted. Mahboba Babakarkhil, Director of People’s Culture to the Ministry of Information and Culture, presented a report on the activities of the last Nowruz celebrations and assured of their full preparations to for the event. Other participants of the commission, on behalf of their presented ministries also shared their views and suggestions on how well celebrate the National New Year, according to the agency.
Likewise, the Acting Minister of Information and Culture noted that the commission members should present their views and what the relevant institutions can carry out for the Nowruz celebration, at the next meeting, the agency added. The acting minister also stressed on the need for better coordination among the commission members for well celebration of the ancient New Year, the agency concluded.
