Kabul (BNA) Directorate of regional cooperation for ministry of foreign affairs held Wednesday a seminar on Istanbul Process-Heart of Asia for public awareness of the process. The seminar was attended by a large number of representatives of government institutions, parliament, civil society and academic, cultural and media organizations.
The seminar aimed at public awareness of Istanbul Process-Heart of Asia and organizing of cooperation of relevant organs towards execution of confidence-making measures of the process.
Director of regional cooperation for MoFA Mrs. Roya Rahmani while briefing related to the process stressed that for succeeding of the process as a significant regional process and complete coordination between various government and non-government organs of Afghanistan, it was necessary that Afghanistan as permanent head of the process made use of infrastructural development, counter terrorism, counter narcotics and trading opportunities for investment in Afghanistan.
In another part of the seminar, the participants held free discussion on the issue followed with questions and answers.
