Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported 1,843 new positive cases of COVID-19 out 5,044 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
According to BNA report, the ministry reported 51 deaths and 257 recoveries from COVID-19 in the same period.
The ministry says the cumulative total of known COVID-19 cases is 85,893, the total number of reported deaths is 3,356 and the total number of recoveries is 59,826.
According to worldometers, so far 511,468 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 21,176 known active COVID-19 cases in the country.
The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 3,747,992 and the number of known global coronavirus cases is 174,012,550, according to Johns Hopkins University.
