MoPH Reports 243 New Cases of COVID-19 in Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported 243 new positive cases of COVID-19 from 1,201 samples tested in Afghanistan within the last 24 hours.

According to BNA report, seven patients have died due to coronavirus, while 135 others have recovered within the last 24 hours in the country.

With this, the total cases are now 43,924, the total reported deaths are 1,645 and total recoveries are 35,259 in Afghanistan.

Officials in Ministry of Public Health reported that 6,911 active cases of COVID-19 among patients at under their care as Wednesday morning in Afghanistan and 93 patients are in critical conditions.

It is mentionable that until now 132,274 samples of coronavirus has been tested in laboratories of the ministry across the country, the officials added.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 55,645,915 and the deaths are reported to more than 1,338,668 according to John Hopkins’ global dashboard.
