Mopping-Up Operation Started In Sar-e-Pul

Sar-e-Pul City (BNA) A mopping-up operation was started aiming to annihilate armed oppositions in relevant areas of Sancharak district, northern Sar-e-Pul province.
Col. Hasebullah Qurishi commander of 6 brigade police of public secure and order in the north of the country and commander of 209 Shaheen army corps aiming to participate in the clearing operation were traveled to Sar-e-Pul province and the operation was started with participation of hundreds Afghan security forces in different parts of Sancharak district of the province.
So far armed oppositions have been sustained heavy losses during the operation, but the exact number is not clear, Qurishi added.
The operation will continue until the district completely has been cleared from being of armed insurgents, Qurishi concluded.
