Mopping-Up Operations Leaves 67 Insurgents Dead

Kabul (BNA) Up to 67 armed rebels were killed and numerous of them were wounded during clearing operations led by Afghan security forces across the country.
According to information of National Defense Ministry press office to BNA, the operations with support of Afghan air and artillery forces were conducted aiming to eliminate insurgents and protect lives and properties of people in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Kapisa, Paktia, Paktika, Ghazni, Kandahar, Zabul, Farah, Jawzjan, Kunduz, Badakhshan Helmand, Samangan and Faryab provinces.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions, military equipment and war mobilizations have been discovered and seized during the operations by Afghan security forces, the source added.
