More Than 70 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Nangarhar

Jalalabad (BNA) Seventy-two insurgents were killed in Nangarhar during the past 48 hours, and another 100 were wounded.

The Taliban were targeted in their hideouts in Shirzad district, the head of the Selab Army Corps said to BNA.

Seventy-two insurgents were killed and another 100 were wounded in the attacks, he said.

He added that three motorcycles and a large amount of enemy weapons were destroyed in the attacks.

According to another report, the security forces discovered eight mines in different parts of Shirzad district and prevented from several explosions in that district.

The Taliban planted the mines in crowded areas, said a spokesman for Selab Army Corps.
