HERAT (BNA) Dr. Alexander Budiroza head of the United Nations Fund, in a gathering meeting with Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlana Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, the governor of Herat, introduced Ms. Penina, as the head of the United Nations population Fund’s office in the western part of the country.
According to BNA, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is working to focus on literacy and capacity building, empowerment, youth participation and the provision of health services to women in remote districts.
The Governor of Herat appreciated the cooperation of the President of the United Nations Population Fund with the people of Afghanistan and called for accelerating the process of cooperation of this organization to women in the western part of the country.
