Nab, Wang Yu Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation

Kabul (BNA) Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, met yesterday with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Kabul, Wang Yu and both sides discussed the latest developments in the Afghan peace process and the continuation of bilateral cooperation, according to a MoFA statement.

The Deputy Foreign Minister praised China’s co-operation and support for the Afghan peace process, as well as its assistance to Afghanistan in the fight against the coronavirus. Nab also spoke about the beginning of a new chapter in cooperation between Afghanistan, the United States and the international community in the aftermath of the withdrawal of NATO forces from the country, and stressed the importance of expanding China’s cooperation with Afghanistan, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, Chinese ambassador, while announcing China’s readiness to provide the Coronavirus vaccines to Afghanistan, assured the Political Deputy minister of his country’s continued support and cooperation in various fields with Afghanistan, especially in order to establish lasting peace in the country.

Both sides discussed how to raise the level of relations and cooperation between the two countries, referring to the holding of an early conference on combating the coronavirus with the participation of South Asian countries.
