Takhar (BNA) the National Defense and Security forces repulsed an armed Taliban attack in Takhar last night.
Abdul Hadi Nazari, spokesman for 217th Pamir Corps, told BNA that
A group of armed Taliban attacked the checkpoints of Shurab, Chamqchar, Nahr Chaman Takhar and faced with several resistances of the checkpoints of the National Defense and Security Forces, and fled the area with casualties.
Nazari added that ten Taliban insurgents were killed and a number of their weapons and vehicles were destroyed in the attack.
