Kabul (BNA) The country’s athletes are set to participate in the World Olympic Games in full readiness.
Younes Popalzai, secretary general of the National Olympic Committee, told BNA that the country’s athletes have been training for the past few months and are ready to participate in the international competition.
Farzad Mansouri in Taekwondo, Shah Mahmoud Nabrad and Kimia Yousefi in Athletics, Fahim Anwari in swimming and Mehdi Shojaei in shooting are scheduled to participate in the Olympics.
Three Afghan refugees have also qualified for the international competition.
The World Olympic Games are scheduled for July 23 in Tokyo, Japan.
