Pakistani Nationals among 23 Rebels Killed in Helmand

Kabul (BNA) As many as 23 anti-government militias including several Pakistani citizens were killed during latest clashes with Afghan security forces in southern Helmand province.

Senior commander in Maiwand army corps told BNA reporter, the conflicts took place in Nahr Saraj, Nad Ali districts and Lashkargah city the provincial capital of the province, as a result 23 rebels including six Pakistani nationals were killed.

According to another report, two Taliban fighters lost their lives following their own mine blast in the province.

The militants had plan to plant a mine in Nahr Saraj highway that prematurely the mine exploded and took their lives.

Taliban said nothing about the incident so far.
