President Ghani Condemns Targeted Attack On Female Judges in Kabul

Kabul (BNA) Two female judges were martyred and three others including a driver and a civilian were wounded in an attack by unknown gunmen in Kabul city on Sunday morning, police confirmed.

According to police three gunmen attacked the convoy of vehicles carrying Supreme Court employees in the Qala-e-Fathullah area of PD10 in Kabul city yesterday morning. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

Reacting to the incident, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani condemned the attack, saying that the attack on women, children, influential people and any other Afghans is in fact attack on the dignity of Afghanistan.

Condemning the terrorist incident, President Ghani said that “the attacks by the Taliban and other terrorist groups on our defenseless compatriots and the violence against them were contrary to Islamic guidance and the spirit of peace.”

“The Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan once again asking Taliban that continued violence, terror, and crime are not the solution, rather would prolong the war and current crisis, therefore show your real will for peace by accepting a permanent ceasefire,” the statement quoted the president as saying.
