Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani met with Hindu and Sikh compatriots after Eid al-Adha prayers and congratulated them Eid al-Adha.
According to BNA, the meeting, which took place at the Arg, First Senator Anar Kelly Henryar spoke and said that the security and defense forces are our pride and we will spare no effort to support the armed forces and the republican system.
Henryar thanked the president for his attention to the reconstruction of Hindu and Sikh places, and for his courage and resilience in national issues, saying that this resilience gives us morale.
The President also said that our position on our Hindu and Sikh compatriots stems from the Constitution and that their position is important and high in our eyes.
“We are in a special situation now,” he said, adding that a nationwide resistance and mobilization has been formed to defend the homeland, and that today we must fight together against the enemy.
