Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with minister of Higher Education and acting minister of Education here at the presidential palace yesterday and received their reports for the coming educational year, separate statements said yesterday.
In a meeting with Abbas Basir, minister of Higher Education, President Ghani listened to his report of activities, including the steps for reformation at the ministry. The president instructed the minister on ministry’s plans for coming Solar Year, increasing capacity of the higher education and the digitization process, according to a presidential palace statement.
Meanwhile in another meeting, President Ghani instructed the acting minister of education, Rangina Hamidi, on ministry’s programs for coming Solar Year of 1400, reformation and improving of the educational programs.
The acting minister also briefed the president on ministry’s activities and plans, according to a statement from the presidential palace.
The meetings come as the education and higher education’s institutions would resume programs on 5th of March after months of delay due to outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.
