Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with commander of the United States Central Command Gen. Joseph Votel at the presidential palace the other day, his office said in a statement.
According to the statement, both sides discussed Afghanistan and regional security issues, moves against terrorist groups, capacity building of Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) particularly ANA and ANP Special Forces and reforms within security and defensive organs.
Thanking the US for equipping Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) particularly delivering Black Hawk helicopters, the president said using mentioned helicopters would help further suppress the enemies, the statement added. Afterward, the US Gen. Votel while condemning the recent terrorist attacks in Kabul, assured of his country’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan in different fields particularly equipping of ANDSF, the statement continued.
