President Ghani: Voice of Women Will Be Loud In Peace Process

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with a number of women during his visit to Herat province, late on Thursday.

According to BNA report, the speaking representatives of women while expressing gratitude to the President’s support in upholding the role of women, preserving the achievements and the republic in peace process said, “We are not going backwards and we stand with you to support the republic.”

During the meeting, Amrullah Saleh, First Vice President said that we do not allow the values to be sacrificed. Afghan women have independent voice and they serve in different capacities, and we strive for them to play key role in the system.

Afterward, President Ghani said, we promote a form of governance to leave a legacy ensuring that the evolution we have made is irreversible. “Afghan women are not willing to go back and there is no power to drive them back”, he added.

President Ghani called on Herat women to expand their networks with coherent and loud voice to rapidly attain their goal.

President Ghani stressed that voice of women will be loud in the peace process and that the government pays attention to the security of Herat and the entire country.

Our Stability is related to consensus of the majority and the constitutional based consensus of all the Afghan people, added the President.

President Ghani called national unity unprecedented under the republic and said “life without republic is of no value”.
