Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai in a ceremony presented the medal of Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan to the US ambassador to Kabul.
President Karzai noted that the US ambassador who has strived in strengthening of relations between Afghanistan and the US and has rightly introduced Afghanistan to the international community based on the article 64 and 19 phrase of the Constitution this high government medal is awarded to the ambassador.
At the ceremony that took place at the presidential palace, present were also Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Zalmai Rasoul, Dr. Rangeen Dadfar Spanta National Security Advisor and the head of the presidential office Abdul Karim Khurram.
Rayon Crocker the US ambassador whose office term is ended has served as the US ambassador to Afghanistan from July of 2011.
