Retaining Wall Constructed in Nangarhar

Jalalabad (BNA) With the construction of a retaining wall, hundreds acres of farms in Nangarhar were protected from flood danger.

This wall is about six hundred meters long in Anarkhil village of Kot district; it was built where every year the flood destroyed the peasant fields.

An official from Nangarhar Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department told BNA that the office spent 12 million Afghanis to build the retaining wall.

He said that with the construction of this retaining wall, nearly four hundred acres of farmers’ fields were safe from flood danger.
