School Construction Work Began in Paktika

Sharan (BNA) Construction of a school in Payenda district of central Paktika began yesterday.

Mawlalvi Abdul Qayum Farooqi, acting head of Paktika’s education department, told BNA that the school would be built on a one-story building at a cost of 16 million Afghanis with funding from the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, with eight classrooms and two administrative rooms.

He thanked Sweden for its help and called for more help in the country’s education sector.
