Lashkargah (BNA) A senior al-Qaeda commander has been killed in an airstrike by Afghan forces in south of the country.
Senior ANA official in south told BNA that the senior al-Qaeda commander and his four men were learning how to carry out terrorist attacks, make mines, bombs and suicide vests for Taliban, in a hideout in Helmand, and targeted by security force.
The senior al-Qaeda commander has not yet been identified, but a number of Taliban members who were training were killed and wounded in the attack.
The armed Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
