Aibak (BNA) Several areas in Hazrat Sultan district of Samangan were cleared from Taliban and the group also suffered casualties yesterday.
Mohammad Hanif Rezaei, spokesman for the 209 Shaheen Corps, told BNA that security, defense and popular uprisings, backed by the air force, carried out several operations to suppress the Taliban and ousted the Taliban from Kokjar and Delkhaki areas, Hazrat Sultan District, Samangan .
Rezaei added that 19 insurgents were killed and 25 others were wounded in the operation, and three motorcycles, two bases and a number of weapons were destroyed.
The operation continues until the insecure areas of the district are cleared from Taliban.
