Kabul (BNA) Sixty-two armed Taliban were killed overnight in different parts of the country.
Fowad Aman, Deputy Spokesman of National Defense Ministry told BNA that 62 Taliban insurgents were killed in the clashes and attacks by defense and security forces in Laghman, Ghazni, Zabul, Balkh, Herat, Faryab, Farah and Badakhshan and 58 others were wounded.
Large quantities of weapons and ammunition were also destroyed in the clashes.
Security and defense forces also discovered and defused 12 different types of mines from different parts of the country.
