Lashkargah (BNA) The security forces says they prevented a suicide attack in Helmand.
According to reports, a suicide bomber on a military motorbike loaded with explosives allegedly intended to attack a military base on the Helmand highway before noon today, the air force targeted him.
Senior Maiwand Corps official in southwest told BNA that a suicide bomber was killed and his car bomb destroyed in the airstrike.
He said the Taliban had tried to inflict casualties on civilians through the suicide attack, but not succeeded to their evil goals.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
