Tajikistan Trains Rescue Workers for Countries in the Region

Kabul (BNA) Tajik officials say they have begun construction of a training center for rescue workers from Central Asian countries, including Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

According to the International Media Agency, Rostam Nazarzada, chairman of the Tajik Emergency Committee, said at the opening ceremony that the project would provide rescue workers with the necessary skills to deal with natural disasters.

A statement from the country’s emergency committee said the aim of the training center was to combat natural disasters and secure the country’s southern border with Afghanistan.

According to reports, the project will be built on 28 hectares of land, which includes residential houses, offices, canteen, gym and a studio block.
